SUMMARY: The attached Funding Board Project Grant Agreement will provide $750,000 to assist in
the renovation of Manette Park. Improvements include ADA access, grading, new play area,
landscaping, walking path, restrooms, benches, picnic shelter, field lighting upgrades and sport court
improvements.
Once all bids are received on the project, staff will come back to Council for approval of contracts
and final budget adjustments.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The total project estimate is $1,005,600
comprised of $500,000 RCO Local Parks, $250,000 RCO Youth Athletic Facilities Grants, $94,000
Cash Donation and $70,000 REET. The remaining balance of $91,600 will be from in-kind/force
account labor in the form of design, project administration and staff labor.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Funding Board Project Agreement with the State of Washington and the
Recreation and Conservation Funding Board for the Manette Park Renovation Project in the
combined amount of $750,000.00; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement
with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
