SUMMARY: The existing Allweiler progressive cavity cake pump was installed in 2001, and has
reached the end of its useful life.
Staff requested quotes from Liberty Process Equipment (Allweiler pump) and from Granich
Engineered Products, Inc. (Seepex pump), as both of these pumps will fit into the existing area
without any major renovations.
The Seepex pump from Granich Engineered Products, Inc. was selected based on their price
proposal of $47,541.44 including WA State sales tax and shipping.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This pump purchase is budgeted through the
2018 Wastewater CIP, and has a budgeted amount of $500,000.
