SUMMARY: The existing odor control booster fan adjacent to the headworks odor control system is
no longer operational and needs to be replaced.
Staff researched for a direct drive, corrosion resistant fan to replace this unit and found two fans that
would work in this application.
We received proposals from CED and CMS (Custom Mechanical Solutions), and we selected the fan
from CED, as it met all of our requirements at a lower cost. The cost for the direct drive, corrosion
resistant odor control fan from CED is $26,400.89 includes WA State sales tax & shipping.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This odorous air fan purchase is budgeted
through the 2018 Wastewater CIP, and has a budget of $500,000.
