Gold Mountain Golf Course Clubhouse Fire

SUMMARY: The fire sprinkler system serving the exterior eaves and attic space for the Gold
Mountain Golf Course Clubhouse was not properly drained by a contractor following testing. The
system, designed as a dry system, was damaged when the water remaining in the pipes and heads
froze. Request for proposals were solicited through the City's MRSC Small Works Roster program to
contractors certified to perform sprinkler system repair and received in accordance with City bidding
procedures. The low bidder is Fox Fire Protection, Inc. of Port -Orchard.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Public Works Agreement with Fox Fire Protection, Inc. for the repair of the Gold
Mountain Golf Course Clubhouse sprinkler system in the amount of $36,838 plus Washington State
Sales Tax, and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the
same terms and conditions as presented.
