I look forward to hearing from and meeting Paul when he is back next week. Permit BB16 00162 was issued to install restrooms, but the'last inspection for that permit was in June. It is possible the Building Official will want this permit finaled prior to occupancy. We will have that finalled shortly. Hopefully next week. • The retail area depicts walls that I don't believe are covered by any permit. You will need a building permit for these walls. There are no permanent walls being erected there; Jon will leave the retail space open to his studio behind so customers can see him work; or in the future he may close it with portable dividers. There isn't a door shown from the retail area to the remainder of the space. In this configuration, there doesn't seem to be any relationship between the retail area and the remainder of the space. As you must demonstrate that the fabrication/warehouse area is accessory to the retail area, this configuration may not be acceptable for land use approval as well. See above; space will be open concept; the areas on the plan were just to show the approximate seas of showroom to studio space. • Is the stairway currently usable and connecting the two floors? I was under the impression it had been blocked off at some point, though I could be mistaken. The stairway is usable, and is currently divided by a fire door/wall If you intend on installing a sign, that will require a separate permit. Understood, no plans for that at this time • You may need an accessible parking space, and therefore need to revise your parking plan. Whether or not the Building Official requires an accessible parking space, please revise your parking plan to provide dimensions for parking stalls and drive aisles that conform to the figure below. We will do so once we hear from the building official if that is necessary; I am hoping my sketch of the existing spaces will suffice. Paul is welcome to come down and look as the lot is striped professionally and clearly has the drive aisles and dimensions required— and more! It's existing and functional as -is. Since Jon is being displaced for an new user of his current space; he needs to be out very soon. He is moving across the street in the same zone. Given that, I would appreciate your assistance getting his review completed as soon as possible. Thanks! Adam I have cc'd Jon here as well. He will be sending a description of his business operations to you. 2015 INTERNATIONAL EXISTING BUILDING Cd DV" 1009.1 Mechanical requirements.
