SUMMARY The contract for solid waste collection and disposal ends at the end of 2010 This contract is
for the next eight years with an option to extend for an additional year twice The contract proposes no rate
increase for 2011, a 3 5 % increase in 2012 and 2013, and reverts to a CPI increase in 2014 The contract
requires a resolution for compliance with RCW requirements As part of this contract, new carts for
household garbage, recycling, and yard waste would be delivered in the first few months of 2012 In
addition, the contract establishes an annual clean-up day for residents to dispose of items at locations
throughout the City

execute a contract with Waste Management of Washington, Inc dba Brem-Air Disposal, a Washington
corporation, for solid waste collection and recycling pick-up services with substantially the same terms and
conditions as presented
