This Memorandum of Understanding is agreed to pursuant to Article 19.2 of the Collective
Bargaining Agreement(C.B.A.) between the City of Bremerton (City) and the International
Association of Fire Fighters Local #437(Union).
HRA Peak 1- Administrative Fee
The Union and the City agree that each party will pay 50% of the administrative fees for the
Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Accounts that have been established per Article 12.9
of the C.B.A.
The City will submit (in advance) their 50% of the January thru June administrative fees on the
pay period ending January 15th of each year. The City's 50% of the July through December
administrative fees will be paid (in advance) on the pay period ending July 15th of each year.
These fees will be deposited into each individual's HRA Account. Peak 1 will then pull the
administrative fees from each of the employee's accounts. If an employee is hired or separated
from employment midyear the administrative fees will be pro -rated per Article 12.9 of the C.B.A.
The Union's 50% will be paid from each employee's individual HRA Account.
The Union and the City also agree that the Union will pay 100% of the broker fees.
This Agreement is effective as of January 1, 2017. The terms of this agreement expire with the
current C.B.A. on December 31, 2018.
