SUMMARY: The action before the Council is to conduct a public hearing and consider the 2017
Comprehensive Plan Amendment Docket. The amendment docket contains both comprehensive
plan text and map changes and are summarized as follows:
1) Adding policies to include efforts for distressed areas and areas with disadvantaged
populations,
2) Refine descriptions and boundary of the Downtown Regional Center to further include the
military installations and facilities, and
3) Correct mapping error for 0.5 parcel on Werner Road to apply Industrial land use and zoning
designations, and
4) Minor updates to the Gorst Subarea Plan.
