SUMMARY: The attached spreadsheet details the Lebo project budget, current expenses, and
anticipated final amounts. For the main construction contract, we anticipate 1 additional close out
change order, for a total of 3. Change Order No. 2 is $158,921.57. The total combined amount for
change orders 1 and 2 is $325,858.91, which is 6.6% of the original contract amount. Per Bremerton
Municipal Code 2.76.110, changes totaling over $200,000 require Council approval. In order to
manage this project efficiently to conclusion, we are asking for Council authorization for the Mayor to
sign the remaining change orders, so long as the project budget is not exceeded. Please note
current projections show us to finalizing the project at $6,469,984.00 which is below the project
budget. '

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Lebo Boulevard Road Improvement Project
budget is $6,581,150 and is funded from the Transportation Improvement Board, the .City's
Stormwater Utility, and the City's Water Utility.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve Change Order No. 2 for the Lebo Boulevard Roadway Improvement Project, and
authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute Change Order No. 2, and to finalize and execute
subsequent change orders necessary to close out the project, within the overall project budget, with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
