SUMMARY: Restorical Research is a firm that researches, locates and consults on historical
insurance policies that address environmental contamination. This agreement enables Restorical
Research, on a contingency fee basis (10% of all money recovered), to pursue recovery for the
Chevron site but also for any other contaminated sites the City may identify. The Agreement does
not obligate the City to make claims or suits, or to use a particular amount of staff time to assist
Restorical Research in locating sites and documents.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Up to $200 per site to reimburse Restorical
Research for scanning and shipping fees, with pre -approval of City.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Professional Services Contingency Fee Agreement with Restorical Research,
LLC for environmental cost recovery services; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the
Agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
