THE CITY OF BREMERTON
AND
THE BREMERTON POLICE OFFICER'S GUILD
The Bremerton Police Dept. and the Bremerton Police Officers Guild agree that there is a
backlog of background investigations for new and lateral officers due to staffing and
workload. Both agree that expediting backgrounds will be beneficial to both groups. Both agree
that using an outside vendor to conduct these background investigations will be mutually
allowed until this large scale hiring need can be brought back into a more manageable situation.
The Detective division will have the ability to sit in on final interviews and provide suggestions
over any backgrounds they are submitted.
At any time if either party decides, this agreement may be terminated.
