The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) received eighteen (18) requests for funding. Following the interview process, one request was withdrawn. Committee members reached consensus, and are recommending funding to 17 applicants and to continue the City of Bremerton's commitment to the Kitsap Conference Center and the Admiral Theatre Foundation. Recommended allocations include $315,000 for non-profit organizations. It is also recommended that $250,000 be allocated for operations at Kitsap Conference Center for 5 - years, and $95,000 for a one-time debt service payment. The City of Bremerton has a 50 -year commitment ending in 2040 with the Admiral Theatre Foundation for $90,000 per year, plus an additional $60,000 per year through 2017. The committee recommends that this additional funding commitment be continued through 2022 for a total allocation of $150,000. Finally, it is recommended that $20,000 (unallocated by the committee) be carried over as part of the beginning fund balance for Fiscal Year 2018. If any individual recommendation is rejected by City Council, then the unallocated amount will be held in the fund's reserve and that unfunded organization will have significantly reduced marketing efforts for Bremerton.
