SUMMARY: The proposed revisions to the Bremerton Municipal Code allow the Director of Public
Works & Utilities to enter into agreements with property owners to complete repairs to sidewalks,
curb and gutters, curb ramps and driveway approaches that abut private property. These
agreements are intended to allow the City to partner with property owners and share the cost of
repairs when the City has determined pedestrian facilities abutting a property are hazardous or
defective, and require repair or replacement. Other changes to Chapter 11.08 of the BMC clarify
existing language.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Revenue to fund expenditures resulting from the
cost share agreements will be from the Sidewalk Abatement Fund
