SUMMARY: The action before Council is to conduct a Public Hearing and adopt an Ordinance to
amend Title 20 of the Bremerton Municipal Code as follows: Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
Revise the regulations to remove the owner -occupancy requirement, add additional design
standards, and revise the allowed unit size.
This Zoning Code amendment was publicized for the June 21, 2017 Zoning Code Amendments
Public Hearing, however as additional information was requested by City Council, an additional
ordinance has been provided for this Public Hearing. No public testimony regarding ADUs was
received at the Public Hearing on June 21, 2017.
