SUMMARY: The current agreement with Golden Eagle Evergreens for the removal and sale of
Minor Forest Products expires in June 2017, and a new agreement needs to be in place.
The Forestry Division has negotiated directly with Golden Eagle Evergreens for the removal and sale
of Minor Forest Products, as they have proven to be the most careful and skilled at what they do.
Because the watershed is a unique and sensitive property, it is in the best interest of the City to
negotiate directly with the company that has proven their skill and respect for the nature of the
property. L
Staff believes that the proposed prices Golden Eagle will pay the City under this agreement are
substantially consistent with fair market value.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): $25,000 minimum annual payment to the City.
