SUMMARY: The City has developed its ADA Transition Plan to comply with the Americans with
Disabilities Act. The ADA Transition Plan is intended to guide the city's efforts to provide an
accessible transportation system within the City. Through the implementation of the Plan, the City
will identify deficiencies in its physical assets and provide a prioritized path to correct those
deficiencies. The Plan also implements new ADA grievance procedures and appoints the City
Engineer or his designee as the ADA Coordinator for the City. The proposed Resolution adopts the
ADA Transition Plan.
The proposed Resolution repeals and replaces Resolution No. 2409 of 1992, which adopted ADA
grievance procedures and required the Mayor to designate an ADA Coordinator.
