SUBJECT: Amend the authorized Positions Study Session Date: March 22, 2017
in the Department of Financial Services by COUNCIL MEETING Date: April 5, 2017
eliminating four Part-Time Positions Department: Financial Services
(totaling 1.46 FTE) and adding one (1 FTE) Presenter: Mike Riley

SUMMARY: The City Clerk's Office has Authorized Personnel of two (2) Part Time Clerical positions
for 2017and the Finance Department has Authorized Personnel of two (2) Part-Time Clerical
positions. The OA II will work under the City Clerk providing clerical and customer service support to
both the City Clerk's Office and Finance Department. Please see the attached Staff Memo for a
detailed analysis.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Staff Memo 2) Office Assistant II Job Description
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Up to an additional $12,000 annually for the position
compared to the part-time positions. However, there is an estimated savings of$5,000 over the next
two years (2017 &2018) in the Financial Services overall personnel budget.
