with Bremerton Historic Ships Association in COUNCIL MEETING Date: February13, 2017

SUMMARY: Bremerton Historic Ships Association has fundraised over the last several years to
send the Turner Joy into dry dock for needed maintenance. The City is pledging $25,100 towards
the $800,000 preservation project. BHSA has raised $350,000.00 towards the project. The Port of
Bremerton has funded $100,000 and the State Legislature has funded $300,000 for the project. The
City funded $24,900 in 2016 and Administration is asking for $25,100 for 2017 for a total of $50,000
towards the project.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Letter of Agreement with Bremerton Historic Ships Association in the amount of
$25,100.00, and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the
same terms and conditions as presented.
