SUMMARY: The work under this contract includes the installation of 1,200 lineal feet of 8" ductile
iron water main in David Road. The existing 4" steel water main is undersized and had required
numerous repairs. Project site is located within the David Road right-of-way and west of Northlake
Way.
There were four bids submitted which were opened on January 25, 2017. The lowest responsive,
responsible bidder was Northern Land Development who submitted a bid in the amount of
$237,569.58 (which includes estimated sales tax).

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The project is fully funded in the 2017 Water Budget
within the Substandard Water Main Replacement and Distribution Main Improvements line items
which total $400,000.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the bid for the David Road Water Main Replacement Project from Northern Land
Development in the amount of $237,569.58 and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the
agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
