SUMMARY: The aerial photography of the City needs to be updated. The last aerial photos were
taken in 1995. An update is needed because ofthe changes in the City and the increased technology
in aerial photography. This round of aerial photgraphs will produce individual pexel resolution of six-
inch width compared with the approximate one meter width of the current photos. Engineering staff
sent out a Requst for Proposals. Three proposals were submitted and David Smith and Associates
were found to be the most responsive and competitive.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The cost of the service is $51,940. These funds
are in the 2005 Engineering $100,000 budget for professional services with in the GIS line item.

Smith and Associates, Inc. for acquistion of Aerial Photography and authorize the Mayor to execute
the same with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
