SUMMARY: The City will be submitting a grant request to obtain US EPA Brownfields assessment
grants and area -wide planning grants for the 2017 funding year. The funding would be used citywide.
The total funding the City may receive if we are successful in obtaining these grants could be as high
as $500,000. There is no local match for this funding.
The City will be holding an informational workshop at 4pm in the Lobby of the Norm Dicks
Government Center on Wednesday, December 7th. The public is encouraged to attend and provide
input for the City's grant application. Following the informational workshop there will be a
presentation at the City Council meeting and formal public comment is encouraged.
