SUMMARY: The City of Bremerton and Kitsap County entered into an agreement for Incarceration
of Prisoners on May 13, 2013 ("Agreement"). The Agreement was amended on September 17, 2014
to extend the term to December 31, 2016 and make related changes. The proposed second
amendment to the Agreement extends the term of the Agreement one additional year expiring
December 31, 2017. For calendar year 2016, the City has paid $75.80 per full bed -day. For
calendar year 2017, the full bed -day rate for housing will be adjusted by the All Urban Consumers
Index (CPI -U) (1982-1984=100) for the Seattle -Tacoma -Bremerton area pursuant to Section 6 (a) of
the Agreement.
