SUMMARY: An integral part of the Kitsap Coordinated Grant Application Process is participation by
citizen advisory committees, who review applications, interview applicants, and develop funding
recommendations which are then approved by the Board of Commissioners. Each Mayor appoints
two citizens to the Grant Recommendation Committees (GRCs) — one person to the Capital GRC
and one person to the Services GRC.
For 2017, the role of the GRCs is being expanded to include meetings throughout the year to provide
more time for discussion of the issues, input on priorities, and recommendations for process
improvements. We anticipate that this will result in an even smoother grant review and
recommendation process.
Bremerton's current appointees' terms end at the end of 2016.
The Mayor seeks confirmation of the reappointment of Jordy Andrew as the City of Bremerton
representative on the Capital Grant Review Committee.
