CITY COUNCIL BUDGET WORKSHOP MINUTES
Thursday, November 10, 2016
The Budget Workshop of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the
Council Conference Room 603 of the DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER located at 345 6th Street,
Bremerton, Washington, Thursday, November 10, 2016, at 4:00 PM, with Council President Eric
Younger presiding. Council members present were Richard Huddy, Dino Davis, Greg Wheeler,
Jerry McDonald, Leslie Daugs, and Pat Sullivan. Also present were Financial Services Director
Cathy Johnson; Assistant Financial Services Director Mike Riley; and Budget Analyst Caroline
Tompson. Legislative Assistant Lori Smith was present to provide staff support to the Council.
President Younger announced that tonight's Budget Workshop was for the Council to hold
deliberations on the proposed 2017 Budget. It was further announced that this Budget
Workshop was open to the public, but there would be no opportunities for input or participation;
that no action will be taken, and the content of these items is subject to change.
Cathy Johnson, Financial Services Director, responded to questions and comments from the
Council Members; followed by discussion on Public Works and Utilities operations and
proposed utility rates.
Council recessed from 6:00 to 6:33 PM...
Council continued with discussion on proposed changes and their effects on the General Fund.
President Younger announced that the Budget is scheduled for action during the December 7
Council Meeting...
With no further business, President Younger adjourned the Budget Workshop at 8:25 PM.
