SUMMARY: The American Disabilities Act(ADA)of 1990, and implementing regulations, require
public entities to develop a document called a "Transition Plan" that outlines the steps necessary to
complete construction for compliance with ADA accessibility. The City has developed its draft plan,
and is seeking comments on the plan prior to City Council adoption in 2017. This briefing will initiate
the public process.
