SUMMARY: The City requires project assistance to perform the project administration, community
involvement, site investigation, remediation and redevelopment planning needed to meet the
requirements of a $200,000 EP A Brownfields Assessment Grant for the Charleston Beach Road
segment ofthe SR 304 Transportation Improvement Project. Retaining the services ofParametrix,
Inc. will provide the expertise necessary to meet the Grant requirements. A Professional Services
Agreement has been negotiated with Parametrix, Inc. for a total authorized amount not to exceed
$186,000.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): These services are 100% reimbursable from a
$200,000 US Environmental Protection Agency Grant. No local match is required for this contract.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement in an amount
not to exceed $186,000 with Parametrix, Inc. for Environmental Assessments on the Charleston Beach
Road segment ofthe SR 304 Project and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the necessary
contract documents for the agreement.
