SUMMARY: The City received a $692,000 grant through KRCC for the Austin Drive Pavement
Preservation project which will provide an asphalt overlay of Austin Drive from Kitsap Way to Erlands
Point Rd and will also overlay Higbee Rd. from Austin Drive to the Navy Hospital Gate. Bids were
opened on August 9�', 2016 and 3 bids were received. Puget Paving 8 Construction, Inc. was the
lowest responsive, responsible bidder at$713,038.00 including sales tax.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The project is included in the 2016 budget at
$755,000.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Local Agency Contract with Puget Paving & Construction, Inc. in the amount of
$713,038.00 for the Austin Drive Pavement Preservation Project; and authorize the Mayor to finalize
and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
