SUMMARY: Parametrix has been selected to complete the preliminary design for the Evergreen
Park Nearshore Restoration Project. The design will incorporate modification of a minimum of 600
feet of shoreline to restore nearshore ecological functions for the benefit of migrating salmon and
cutthroat trout. The urban park setting will require a balance befinreen ecological benefit, passive
recreation and public use.
` ATTACHMENTS: 1) Professional Services Agreement with Parametrix
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): No match grant from the Salmon Recovery Funding
Board (SRFB)for$200,000 will fund the project through the Parks Construction Fund. Amend the
Parks Construction Fund for 2016 by adding $200,000 and noting the grant as the revenue source.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement with Parametrix; and authorize the Mayor to
finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented;
and amend the 2016 Parks Construction Fund revenue and expense budgets to include the
$200,000 Salmon Recovery Funding Board Grant for the Evergreen Park Nearshore Restoration
Design Project.
