SUMMARY: The City of Bremerton accepted a Stormwater Financial Assistance Program (SFAP)
Grant from the Department of Ecology to fund the design of the Ostrich Bay Creek Retrofit Plan
Design project. The benefits of this project will be a 100% ready to construct design that will reduce
runoff and improve stormwater quality entering Ostrich Bay Creek and Oyster Bay. Parametrix has
been selected as the engineering firm best qualified to design this project according to the
requirements and schedule of the grant.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Professional Services Agreement with Parametrix
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Stormwater Utility has received a $67,500 grant
from the Department of Ecology for design of stormwater capital improvements with $22,500 match
for a total project cost of$90,000. Matching funds have been programmed and are available in the
Stormwater capital fund.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement with Parametrix for the Ostrich Bay Creek
Retrofit Plan Design project in the amount not to exceed $90,000; and authorize the Mayor to finalize
and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
