SUMMARY: The City of Bremerton is renewing an agreement with the City of Forks for prisoner jail
services. Services will be limited to daily bed availability. Charges for services will be offered at a
base daily rate of$46.63. The City of Forks will house any City prisoner who has a court
commitment of 364 dates at the special daily rate of$41.45 each day.
ATTACHMENTS: Interlocal Agreement with the City of Forks for Prisoner Confinement
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This agreement with the City of Forks provides a
lower cost alternative to the Kitsap County Jail for housing some qualifying prisoners. The option
gives the department flexibility in incarceration strategies to help ease the costs of incarceration and
transportation.
