SUMMARY: Earlier this year the Forestry Division of Public Works and Utilities purchased a used
John Deere 135D excavator. When presented to Councit it was stated we will be requesting
purchase and installation of a "Fecon" Bull Hog boom mower. I requested bids from local dealers and
I received two. We are requesting council approve the bid from Pape Machinery of Tacoma WA.
Pape had the higher of the two bids, but included many safety related items that were not included in
the second bid. The excavator and operator are usually working alone, the safer we can make the
operation, the better. The total costof the requested work is $54,335.39 including Washington State
sales tax.

Move to approve the purchase and installation of one Fecon Mower Head and Safety Equipment for
John Deere 135D Excavator from Pape Machinery of Tacoma, WA in the amount of$54,335.39
including Washington State sales tax.
