SUMMARY: The Comprehensive Plan is being updated (under separate ordinance) due to the
Growth Management Act's 2016 periodic update requirements, thus pursuant to RCW 36.70A.040
the Land Use development regulations need to be updated to be consistent with the Comprehensive
Plan updates. Therefore, the development regulations located within Bremerton Municipal Code
(BMC) Title 20 and the affiliated subarea plans are proposed to be updated with this ordinance. This
update also includes amending the critical area regulations. More information on this process,
including electronic versions of the attachments, can be seen at www.bremerton2035.com.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on April 19, 2016 after numerous monthly
workshops and unanimously recommended draft documents.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to pass Ordinance No. 5301 to amend the Title 20 of the
Bremerton Municipal Code entitled "Land Use" commonly known as the Zoning Code, adopting the
official Zoning Map, and amending Development Regulations of adopted Subarea Plans.
