SUMMARY: The Fire Department would like to replace all of its forty-four Self Contained Breathing
Apparatus (SCBA) as the equipment has reached their life expectancy. The SCBA's were
refurbished in 2008. The total cost of replacement is $297,691.26 and was included in the Fire Bond
in 2015. The Fire Department is requesting a sole source purchase and attached is a document
explaining the reasoning.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The department passed the Fire Bond in 2015 in
which this item was included. The total amount is $297,691.26 which is included in the budget.
