Introduction: At the request of the Johns-Manville Sales Corporation, New York, New ~o~k, the R~search Committee of. the International Conference of Buddmg OfficIals has made an examma. tion of the data submitted in connection with the approval of Pyro Panl Corrulux, PDR.35, PDR-35T, PP.25 and PP-25T as an ap' proved plastic material for use under the provisions of Chapter 52 of the Uniform Building Code. II. Description: General: The Pyro Panl Corrulux plastic is designated as PDR-35, PDR-35T, PP-25, and PP-25T. The trans. lucent fiberglass reinforced polyester panels are provided in flat, corrugated or ribbed profiles. The letter "T" in the plastic desig. nation indicates that one surface of the panel has been coated with Tedlar. The Corrulux plastic has a nominal weight ~f 8 ounces. per square foot. The plastic thickness varies from .051 mch to .057 mch depending upon the configuration. The flame spread and smoke density for the plastics are shown below. Identification: The plastic is identified by a label attached to each sheet giving the manufacturer's name and the p~oduct type: III. Evidence Submitted: Flame spread and phYSICal properties tests are submitted. Recommendation IV. Recommendation: That the Pyro Panl Corrulux, PD!t-35, PDR.35T PP.25 and PP.25T plastic sheets are approved plastIcs as defined i~ Section 5202 of the Uniform Building Code provided: 1. Structural use is based on an allowable working stress in bending of 3600 pounds per square inch using section prop. erties established by acceptable engineering practices, 2. The material is installed as specified in the Uniform Building Code. This recommendation is subject to annual re.examination.
