SUMMARY: The proposed ordinance enacts the third offive "packages" of new sections of the
zoning code to implement the 2004 Comprehensive Plan. The proposed new BMC chapters include
six new zoning classfications for residential, business and marine industrial zones and a Master
Development Zone to implement special planning districts. The enactment of development
regulations consistent with the 2004 Comprehensive Plan is necessary to maintain compliance with
the State Growth Management Act.
