SUMMARY: BMC 2.05.020(a) requires Council confirmation for the appointment of a Department
Director. Council confirmation is requested to promote Jeffrey Elevado to the positon of Director of
Parks and Recreation. Mr. Elevado is currently the interim Director and has worked for the
Bremerton Parks Department for over thirty-five years. He has served as the City's
Athletics/Recreation Manager for the past fifteen years, Aquatics Supervior for eight years prior and
the Pool Maintenance Specialist for nine years prior to that. Mr. Elevado has an Associate Degree
from Olympic College in Chemistry and Biology and has graduated from the National Recreation and
Park Association National Aquatics Management School.
