SUMMARY: This policy has been revised to ensure that the expenditure of public funds for use of
City vehicles to be taken home after normal work hours is in the best interests ofthe City, provides
consistency in the way Take Home vehicles are assigned and utilized by employees, and to comply
with IRS regulations. The resultant policy is the product of the combined efforts of the Audit and
Take Home Vehicle Commitees.
