SUBJECT: Appointments to the Lodging
Tax Advisory Committee

SUMMARY: The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee reviews requests for funding and submits
recommendations to City Council regarding the allocation of the hotel/motel tax proceeds. Vacancies
on the committee must be filled as outlined in Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 67.28.1817
before the committee may review the funding requests for the next fiscal year. The committee must
be equally comprised of businesses that collect the lodging tax and organizations involved in activities
authorized to be funded from the lodging tax. Council is asked to appoint Debra Barnes, General
Manager of the Bremerton Hotel and David Tufts, General Manager of the Hampton Inn to the
committee.
