Professional Services between Kitsap County
and the City of Bremerton for environmental
assessments on Charleston Beach Road.

SUMMARY: Kitsap County received a $200,000 grant from the United States Environmental
Protection Agency (EP A) under the National Brownsfield Economic Redevelopment Initiative. The
. grant will be used to perform environmental assessments of properties located within the Charleston
Beach Road segment ofthe SR 304 Transportation Improvement Project. The Interlocal agreement
with Kitsap County identifies the professional services to be provided by the City of Bremerton for
meeting the requirements ofthe grant.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): These services are reimbursable from federal

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Interlocal Agreement for Professional Services between Kitsap County and
the City of Bremerton for environmental assessments on Charleston Beach Road and authorize
the Mayor to finalize and execute the necessary contract documents for the agreement and to
approve a 2005 budget adjustment for the additional receipts and expenditures anticipated in
the agreement.
