SUMMARY: ER&R has a brush chipper which is due for replacement. Due to the age and condition
of the current chipper, replacement is necessary as soon as possible. Staff recommends the purchase
of a 2005 Vermeer BC 1400XL from Vermeer Northwest utilizing an existing bid from King County.
The purchase price is $26,137.02 including trade in and sales tax. Funding for this purchase is in the
approved 2005 budget.
