SUMIIAARY: The work under this contract includes construction of site piping, cast-in-place retaining
wall and a new masonry wall building that will house sodium hypochlorite and dosing equipment,
complete with standing seam metal roof, associated lighting and electrical equipment,fire
suppression sprinkler system, heating and cooling system, safety shower with eye wash and tankless
water heater.
The project was advertised on January 13, 2016 and there were nine (9) bids received on February
3, 2016. The apparent low, responsive, responsible bidder was Scherer Trucking & Excavation, Inc.,
DBA SGC General Contractors for$367,322.95 (which includes sales tax). The engineer's estimate
for this project is$320,000 to$350,000.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The project is fully funded for$500,000 in the 2016
Water fund budget.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the bid for the Anderson Creek Disinfection to Hypochlorite Building Project from
SGC General Contractors in the amount of$367,322.95; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and
execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
