SUMMARY: The two current EIMCO Primary Clarifier Drives have been in operation since the
Wastewater Treatment PlanYs inception in February 1985 (31 years), and they have reached the end
of their life.
We requested a proposal from OVIVO USA, for the purchase, removal and installation of two new
OEM C30HT 80 foot diameter drives, as they (OVtVO) superseded EIMCO as the manufacturer of
the original drives. In going with the OEM drives from OVIVO,we eliminate the need of modifications
to both primary clarifiers by going with a differerrt style of drive.
The submitted proposal for the Sole Source Purchase of fiaro (2) C30HT 80 foot diameter drives,the
removal of the existing drives and the installation of the finro (2) new drives is�130.891.11,which
includes freight and taxes.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The two Primary Clarifier Drives purchase, removal
and installation are budgeted through the 2016 WW CIP for a budgeted amount of$150,000.The
total cost for the purchase, removal and installation of finro (2) C30HT 80' Primary Clarifier Drives is
$130.891.11 (includes freight&taxes). BARS#594.35325

RECOMMENDED MOTtON: Move to adopt Resolution No. 3262 authorizing the sole source
purchase of two new primary clarifier drives, removal of the City's current drives, and installation of
the new drives from OVIVO USA, LLC. in the amount of$130,891.11
Move to authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the purchase with substantially the same terms
and conditions as presented.
