SUMMARY: The Bremerton Municipal Code authorizes the Risk Management Specialist, with the
approval of the City Attomey, to bind insurance and then requires City Council approval for
continuation of the bound coverage. Insurance has been bound as follows:
1. Excess liability coverage with Lexington Insurance Company at an annual cost of$148,045
(including terrorism endorsement, tax and fee).
2. Crime insurance with Great American Insurance Group at an annual cost of$6,116.
3. A two year Excess workers' compensation insurance policy with Midwest Employers Casualty
Company. The annual deposit premium is $51,037 for 2016 and $51,037 for 2017.
ATTACHMENTS:
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Adequate funds for these insurance renewals are
available in the Risk Management Fund.
