Subject: Crownhill Schoot area sidewalk grant acceptance
Dear Council Members,
I am out of town or would personally attend your upcoming meeting to voice my support for the sidewalk grant
funding project around Crownhill Elementary School. This is a project I totally support.
Sidewalks are an important part of a live-able city. Many of Bremerton's neighborhoods are lacking
sidewalks. When establishing priorities for installation, there are few better than around our local schools.
I encourage you to accept this grant for this wonderful project.
As a side note, several years ago, the Bremerton School District provided the Council office with a list of
sidewalk projects that they felt were needed. I encourage the Council to continue to set aside funds for design
and construction of these sidewalks during your upcoming budget sessions. At the very least, fund several
designs in these areas so the projects are ready and eligible for future grant funding.
Thanks for your service!
R, Jim McDonald
