S,tiith &Associates, Inc. Citi of Bretnertor. .Iunc • 2015 2015 Water Remmces System Improvements: EXHIBIT A — SCOPE OF WORK a. Periodic scaling of the fractured rock slope. This would likely have to be repeated every couple of years and heavy overflow water volumes or very cold winters with ice buildup could result in the requirement for more scaling or could result in more rock falls. b. Scaling and placement of medium weight wire mesh draped down the slope and suspended from rock anchors drilled in at the crest of the slope. Rock fall would be retained behind the mesh and slide down to the toe of the slope. c. Scaling and placement of heavy duty, cable -reinforced wire mesh draped and anchored to the slope with permanent, grouted rock dowels at a spacing designed to reinforce the rock mass and anchor the mesh securely to the slope so as to preclude large rock fragments from detaching from the rock surface. d. Any of the above with the addition of permanent rock bolts and shoterete to reinforce and stabilize the more highly fractured portions of the slope, particularly those areas centered on a fractured andesite dike that steeply traverses the basalt slope and a spillway channel that has eroded across the dike. 7.2 Report Preparation: Prepare a brief letter report documenting at least 3 methods for improving stability in the right rock abutment of the dam to reduce the number of hazardous rock falls onto the access/maintenance road at the base of the dam. This report will also include planning level estimate of overall construction costs based on recent bid prices for similar rock slope stability improvement projects.
