SUMMARY: The Stormwater Utility Plan provides the guidance needed to operate Bremerton's
stormwater system, maintain compliance with state permit requirements, determine capital
improvement needs, and provide information for the City's Comprehensive Plan. The first Bremerton
Stormwater Plan was prepared in 1996 and updated in 2008. Since the last update, changes have
been made to the Western Washington Stormwater Phase II NPDES permit including an increased
emphasis on low impact development(LID) requirements. Herrera Environmental Consultants was
determined to be the most qualified firm to assist the Bremerton Stormwater Utility to complete this
plan.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Professional Services Agreement
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The cost of this plan is $218,000 and has been
budgeted in the Bremerton Stormwater Utility budget.
