SUMMARY: The existing large Biofilter pump has been removed and scrapped, as it was completely
corroded due to it not being used for over 20 years. Subsequently, we have completely rehabilitated
the Biofilter process and it is now operational, and we need to replace the large pump (13,200 gpm)
to assist in the operational flushing of the Biofilter and for high flow periods.
We have received finro quotes for the replacement pump, one from Triangle Pump 8� Equipment, Inc.
for 98 563.73 (includes tax), and one from Granich Engineered Products, Inc. for$137.070.70
(includes tax).

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the purchase of the Cascade Mixed flow pump from
Triangle Pump 8� Equipment, Inc. for 98 563.73 , and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute
this purchase with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
