A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, approving the Otis Amendment re-plat of a
portion ofIvy Green Cemetery.
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 35.22.280(20), the City of Bremerton is authorized to
establish and regulate cemeteries; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 68.04.220, defines "directors" of a cemetery as the
board of directors, board of trustees, or other governing body of the cemetery association; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 68.24.060, any part of the cemetery may, by order of
the directors, be resurveyed and altered in shape and size and an amended map or plat may be filed
so long as such change does not disturb the interred remains of any deceased person; and
WHEREAS, in order to optimize the number of burial plots available at Ivy Green
Cemetery, the City Council desires to re-plat a portion of the cemetery. The re-plat will be known as
the Otis Amendment; NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Otis Amendment re-plat of a portion ofIvy Green Cemetery is
hereby approved.
SECTION 2. The City Council President, Mayor, City Clerk, and Director of
Community Development are hereby authorized to sign the Mylar.
SECTION 3. Severability. If anyone or more sections, subsections, or sentence of
this Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remaining portion of this Resolution and the same shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.
