A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington authorizing application(s) for federal
funding assistance for a Land and Water Conservation Fund
(L WCF) program project to the Interagency Committee for
Outdoor Recreation (lAC) as provided in the L WCF Act of 1965,
as amended.
Project Name(s) Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union Property Acquisition
WHEREAS, our organization has approved a comprehensive plan that includes
this project area; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions ofL WCF, federal funding assistance is
requested to aid in fmancing the cost ofland acquisition and/or facility development; and
WHEREAS, our organization considers it in the best public interest to complete
the land acquisition and/or development project described in the application; NOW,
THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY RESOL VB AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Director of Parks & Recreation be authorized to make
formal application to lAC for funding assistance;
SECTION 2.

Any fund assistance received be used for implementation of
SECTION 3. Our organization hereby certifies that its share of project
funding is committed and will be derived from the Parks & Recreation Department's Capital
Fund;
SECTION 4. We acknowledge that we are responsible for supporting all
non-cash commitments to the sponsor share should they not materialize;
SECTION 5. We acknowledge that any property acquired or facility
developed with lAC financial aid must be placed in use as an outdoor recreation facility and be
retained in such use in perpetuity unless otherwise provided and agreed to by our organization,
lAC, and the National Park Service;
SECTION 6.
This resolution becomes part of a formal application to
lAC;
SECTION 7.
on this application; and
We provided appropriate opportunity for public comment

SECTION 8. We acknowledge that L WCF grants are federal funds and,
as such, our organization must comply with all applicable federal laws.
SECTION 9. Severability. If any one or more sections, subsections, or
sentences ofthis Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Resolution and the same shall remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION 10. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in
force immediately upon its passage.
