SUBJECT: Memorandum of Understanding Study Session Date: June 10, 2015

SUMMARY: Pursuant to RCW 41.56, negotiations have concluded befinreen representatives of the
City and the Intemational Association of Firefighters (IAFF) resulting in the attached Memorandum of
Understanding.
ATTACHMENTS: Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Bremerton and the IAFF and
the 2015 Salary Schedule.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The fiscal impact of approving the Memorandum of
Understanding befinreen the City and IAFF is estimated to be $238,631. A budget amendment to the
2015 budget in the amount of$238,631 will be required to fund the Agreement.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Bremerton and the
International Association of Firefighters contingent upon ratification of the agreement by IAFF Local
437; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the Memorandum of Understanding with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented; and make the necessary amendment in
the amount of$238,631 to the 2015 budget.
